About Me

I’m Matt Blum—photographer, author, and lifelong collector of stories, both behind the lens and on the page. For over two decades, I built a career in fashion and fine art photography, capturing raw beauty and fleeting moments. But eventually, I realized some stories needed more than an image. They needed words.

My first book, Failing Upward, was a brutally honest, darkly funny memoir about missteps, lessons, and figuring it all out as I went. Now, I’m diving headfirst into fiction, writing a vampire series that’s equal parts supernatural thriller and dark comedy—because let’s be real, immortality should come with a sense of humor.
